Two new books on Business Games from Specisoft

Specisoft has released two new books in the field of Business Games, in the Serious Games category, to provide theoretical support for its business game software.

The first is the book entitled “COMPETITIVENESS BUSINESS GAME – BUSINESS GAME”, whose subject is the operating framework of a competitive market which, with suitable parameters, simulates a market with sufficient accuracy.

The Business Game – a Competitiveness Business Game – is designed for training students and business executives in managing a virtual company, by simulating market operating conditions and the choices of the Players – Managers. It is assumed that there is a market for one product with specific characteristics, e.g. the market for baby milk, for yoghurt, for cars etc. We assume that a number of companies operate in this market under intense competition, run by Players – Managers across the full range of actions and decisions.

The second book, entitled “STRATEGY BUSINESS GAME – STRATEGIC GAME”, deals with the strategic management of businesses. Specifically, the Strategic Game – a Strategy Business Game – is designed for training students and business executives in strategic decision making, based on the Balanced Scorecard theory of Kaplan and Norton.

The related Specisoft Software successfully simulates the process and presents the impact of the Selected Strategies at the level of the four perspectives. It is a useful book across the whole range of Economics education, as well as for business executives who hold or are destined for senior and top management positions.
